Golden Girl came into our rescue program on March 6, 2014. Golden Girl came from the Oklahoma City Animal Welfare Division along with 2 other horses. Golden Girl is a Beautiful, Palomino, Quarter Horse, Mare. Golden Girl is estimated to be 11 years of age. She is a body score of a 3, infested with internal/external parasites. Golden Girl is slowly gaining weight and looking so much better. She is super sweet and loves attention, she loads in a trailer, and stands for the farrier. We will update on her progress soon. Golden Girl was picked for our 4th Annual Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. She was chosen by Trainer Angela Springer. Angela will be working with Golden Girl for the next 120 days, turning Golden Girl into a dependable riding companion. Angela will be going against 11 Trainers in our Trainer's Challenge. We also have 8 Youth Trainers competing in our Trainer's Challenge. Competition is set for May 30, 2015 at the Lazy E Arena, Guthrie, Oklahoma. Blaze's Ride to the Rescue Trainer Challenge. Golden Girl will be available for adoption immediately following the competition on May 30, 2015. Golden Girl was not originally picked to compete, however, with the devastating loss of Imogen. Angela Springer was forced to pick another horse. We are deeply sadden that Imogen experienced a sudden acute onset of EPM. Sadly, we tried everything to save her, but the degree of EPM was so extensive and we could no longer watch her suffering. We had to make the devastation decision to humanely euthanize Imogen after 2 weeks of treatment with unsuccessful results. Imogen will be deeply missed. Please watch Golden Girl rise to the occasion and show the world what she has to offer. Golden Girl is a sweet girl and loves attention. Golden Girl has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, teeth floating and hoof maintenance. Golden Girl has also been freeze branded for her protection. Golden Girl has been adopted to a wonderful family in Arcadia, Oklahoma. Golden Girl is going to be extremely well loved and spoiled rotten in her forever, loving home. We are so thrilled that this sweet girl found the family she deserves, where she will receive an unlimited amount of love, time and care.

We are generally available by appointment Monday - Thursday after 5:30 and anytime Friday - Sunday. We do maintain full time jobs, so we are not always available on weekdays. Please be patient with us and we will return your call/email as soon as possible.
